Does Nuclivia diagnose disease?
No. Nuclivia is a lifestyle and nutrition counselling service, not a diagnostic service. It does not diagnose or treat, and where a value looks clinically significant, it tells you to see a doctor.
What does the test look at?
A small panel of genetic markers (SNPs) — 2, or 5 in Nuclivia Plus — alongside a food frequency questionnaire and body measurements. Nuclivia Plus adds a body-composition (BIA) reading taken at your consultation.
How reliable are the genetic findings?
Every gene carries a published evidence tier. Tier 1 covers direct nutrient metabolism and is used with conservative wording. Tier 2 genes are well replicated but each shifts the odds only a little, so they are used as context, never for a deterministic diet. Tier 3 is held for research and not sold as insight. Nuclivia does not predict disease from a single variant.
Does knowing my genes change anything on its own?
Not on its own. Studies show that telling people their DNA-based risk does not by itself change how they eat or move. That is why every result comes with counselling, measurement and follow-up — those do most of the work.
Is counselling included?
Yes — in every package, and it is not optional. Every report is explained in a 30-minute session with a trained counsellor.
Who will be able to see my genetic data?
Your identity will be stored separately from your health data, and analysis will run against a pseudonymous record that names nobody. Research consent will be separate from testing consent, and you will be able to withdraw and have your data deleted, with confirmation of what was deleted and anything the law requires us to keep.
How much does it cost?
Pricing is being finalised while lab costs are validated. If you join the pilot list, you will be told the price before you are asked for anything.
What happens after the report?
Follow-up check-ins, at the points your package includes, to measure whether anything actually changed.
